MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Just wanted to share this great picture of Kyle's kids visit with Santa.

SO STUPID!

We can't get away from them... the stupid emails that have the baby dancing or singing, and every time I get one I think, "these things are so stupid and never make me laugh." Today my sister, Jamie, who as you remember from an earlier blog turned 30 this year... sent me another one of those emails. The only thing is... this time she was like, do you remember when you were a kid and did this? I will not describe any further what happens, I will let you view it for yourself. All I know is, I never did this, however, i have to admit that I did laugh!

SO MUCH TO SAY

Ok, I want to apologize to my fellow bloggers for slacking on the blog the past few weeks. I don't know what is going on. I honestly don't have a thing to say. Is this bad? Does this mean that I am nothing more than a lump that is going thru life without pondering things? I don't know... I guess it is ok to not always have something profound to say, or anything to say for that matter. I need to get back to just the simple things, blogging about life and not worrying about insightful thoughts, because we all know those moments don't happen to often for this guy.

SO the pictures are from the new bulletin boards at UBC. They are advertising our SPRING BREAK trip to San Diego!!! It is going to be so freakin rad. We are renting a beach house on Mission beach and going to hang out all week and learn to surf. Crowder is hooking us up with some friends of his that own a surf company and they are going to bring their pros out to teach us. It is basically going to be the coolest thing ever. I thought the boards looked cool and Katie and Becca worked really hard on them so thanks girls. If you read this and go to UBC, you need to sign up for the trip... it is going to rock face (did I use that right Meg?) cheers

BIG PHIL

UBC hosted Philapalooza last Thursday night and it was pretty cool. I must admit that I was very disappointed at the turnout we had but the ones that didn't come really missed out. We had two great Waco bands/artist play and then Gabe DJ'd in the back. Gabe is a great DJ, he is really into creating a mood, and being conscious of the atmosphere he is in and trying to fit the music to the feel of the room. Quiet, Lovely played and this is the band that Jonathan plays drums for... they are so awesome. They are incredibly tight and one of the better bands I have had the pleasure of hearing. Reeve Hunter also played and he is so creative. Only a few weeks ago we were in Austin listening to Ben Lee, tours all over the world... and I was thinking, this guy sucks. We have a guy in Waco named Reeve who is twice as original and creative who should be touring the world. Thanks to everyone who came out to help with Philapalooza! I want to wish Phil the best of luck with Mosaic. Mosaic is the church in Austin that he is going to work for... it also happens to be the church started by my long lost friend Don Vanderslice. Don and I are kindred souls, just a couple of white boys who kinda wish we were black for all the wrong reasons. I have some funny Don stories but I will save them for another time. CHEERS

36-10!!

Just wanted to make sure that everyone knew the score of yesterday's Eagles game. They beat the tar out of the Dallas Cowboys! The Eagles are looking really strong right now winning 8 in a row and 10-3 overall. Looks like we may be heading to the Superbowl this year!!!
