No Golf

So i never made it out to the golf course today, couldn't find anyone to play with. I will say that the saving grace of the day was the TV show ED . I know that this is going to make my friend Craig mad, but ED has been horrible this year. The show is based in this town called Stuckeyville, but this year it is more like SUCKEYVILLE! In fact, after last weeks show i had serious doubts as to if i would continue to watch the show or not. Then tonight's episode happened and it totally redeemed itself. It was classic ED , great story line, funny side storys. Loved it

Hump Day!

So today is Hump day and man am I glad. This week has been brutal. I have nothing to do... I wish I did and I know there is stuff I could do but I haven't. I have figured out that if things aren't pressing and I don't have a deadline that I don't function. I turn into a lump. You would think that I would sit around and ponder things, or read a good book, maybe catch up on emails? No, I just watch TV and play Tony Hawk on playstation. I do have some good news. I have completed two more objectives in the Tony Hawk game this week that I have been unable to achieve for the past year. I have decided that today is the day I am going to go do something. I think I am going to go play some golf. After all I do have the annual Thanksgiving Bates gathering known as the BPGA (Bates Prof. Golf Association) I need to practice so I don't embarrass anyone out there. I remember the first time I played, my first swing in the fairway headed sideways straight for Richard (Jamie's Uncle) head! He was standing beside me about 20 ft. away. That wasn't one of my better moments. So here is to the end of doing nothing! Cheers

Face Lift

I was sitting at the computer last night and I decided that my blog needed a face lift. I don't know what I am doing when it comes to html but I got online and found some color cheats. Then by the process of elimination I was able to change the colors around on the blog. I am trying to figure out the picture thing, (with some help from my friend Seth, who has the world's best blog). Stay tuned for more changes to come.. Also, let me know what you think about the changes, do they work for you???

Itunes!!

On the apple website it states, " Hell has frozen over!" Introducing Itunes for PC. This is amazing, so much music at the click of a button and it is legal. You get access to artist info and exclusive songs etc. It is really awesome. I remember about three years ago telling someone, "if they would make a way that you could buy music online and charge a dollar a song, people would buy it. Then it would force cd prices in the stores to go down. If an album has 10 songs, it should be $10. If it has 12 songs, it should be $12." I think that someone must have gotten hold of my thoughts and ran with them. Itunes and other online music stores are causing cd prices to go way down. Cd's seem to be a lot cheaper lately. Every new release is only like $9.99. The result of this, I have purchased more music in the last month than I have in the last year. So everyone needs to download itunes, freakin awesome!!!!!!

This past weekend was weird. It was fall break at Baylor so everyone was gone. Jamie hurt her toe (she is ok, she just walked into the closet door and broke one of her toes) and so we couldn't really go do anything. The bad thing about that was the weather was beautiful, everyone was gone, and nothing was going on in waco at all. Times like this makes me wish that I lived in New York. Jamie came into the room on Saturday and said, hurry we need to catch the Subway so we can grab one of those great pizza's in Union Sq. before we head to the museum. What an awesome thought. If you live in a cool city, please get away from your computer right now and go do something cool. Then come back to your computer and leave me a comment about the fun stuff you got to do. I will live vicariously through you "the reader" of this blog for awhile.

The MUSIC OF THE DAY for today is the new TRAVIS album titled 12 Memories . In comparisons to all the other Travis albums, it sucks. I decided today after reading some interviews with the band to listen to this album, not as a typical Travis album with the la, la, la, la love songs. I would just take all prior knowledge of Travis and chunk it out the window and listen to this album for what it is... so far I have enjoyed it a ton more. Can't say I would tell you to rush out and buy it just yet. But I am going to force myself to listen to it at least once a day this week to get familiar with the pace of the album, I will let you know if it grows on me. Sometimes the albums that grow on you end up being the greatest, well see! Cheers
