MUSIC FOR THE DAY

I have been listening to alot of new music this week. First let me say if you havn't gotten the new STING CD SACRED LOVE, go right now to your local music store and buy it. I have also been listening to a live concert that Tom found online of Jack Johnson and finally, i bought the Damien Rice cd and it is unbelievable. It is called "O".

RADIOHEAD or BUST

I want to tell you a sad story. A guy named Logan told me on Sunday that he had an extra ticket to go see Radiohead in Houston Last night. He then asked if i would like that ticket. I told him i needed to check with my wife and make sure i don't have other plans, and i will let you know. A few hours later i did just that and i let him know that i WOULD be taking that ticket and that i was excited to go to the concert. A few days past and then it is the Day before the concert andthe phone rings. I see on my caller id that it is Logan and i am assuming that he is calling to make plans for the next days concert. Well, he informs me that he really didn't have an extra ticket and so i wouldn't be able to go to the concert. This is the part of the story where you can all be sad and feel sorry for me... .... .... and you can now stop.

Parking Garage

So i took the new longboard out for the official first time out. Hickman and i skated over to the new parking garage and decided that we would skate down. Let me just say that it doesn't get much more fun than that. If you don't own a longboard, well you need to get one.

We had a video team meeting last night and it was so much fun. It was like old times. We have a couple of funny new video ideas for church we just have to get Kyle Ozburn to agree to be a buritto and we will be good to go.

Keep Rollin, Rollin, Rollin!

What a weekend. As you may have read in the previous post, the folks were in town and we spent the weekend together. Good times, good times. Friday we went to Austin and dorked around all day. We ate lunch at p.f.changs and dinner at Maudi's. We ate way too much food. Jamie's folks came and met us for dinner and then we headed back to her parents house for an early birthday celebration. So i got to open up my presents a week early. Now normally i would be totally against this, but this year i thought, "hey, what the heck". Much to my delight i got some awesome presents. My folks got me an ipod!! if you don't know what an ipod is... you need to stop reading this and immediately go to mac.com and check these things out. Jamie's folks got me the sector 9 longboard that i have been wanting. The board is awesome! I love it, it is so cool. They just came out with new designs and seriously this thing looks sweet. So i want to take a minute and thank the folks for an awesome birthday. And to the wife, i know that you helped out with the picking of the gifts, way to go!!!

Saturday was a funny day, dad rode 64 miles on his bike in the waco bike ride. Jamie, mom and myself, walked 64 miles around the spice stores. We goofed around all day, went to Mr. Snow and had an amazing snow cone, then went home and chilled. Went to eat at the Burrito place with Harris and Tye and TOm. that was fun, then came back and Jamie and Sean drove thru waco and stopped to hang out. My family is fun to get together because we spend the majority of the time laughing at each other and together. We love to laugh.

Church sunday was cool, the tithe came in!!! UBC will be here next week due to people giving their money. We had lovefeast sunday night, the theme was Mexican and it went great. Avery rode around on the skateboard and really seemed to like it.

That is the rundown of the weekend. The music for the day is something that i am going to go ahead and make fun of myself about right now, " Ben, you are so stupid, are you smokin crack?" well here goes... LIMP BISCUIT. Matt hickman has their new album and it is alot different from their previous stuff. I am not saying that i like it alot, but it is pretty enjoyable if you are into that sort of thing, which i am not, but i have it stuck in my head. I think the reason i have it stuck in my head is more from the fact that the first episode of ALIAS was on last night and they played that Limp song "Rollin". It is fitting since i just got a skateboard. cheers
